Step-by-step Guide to Install Luxury Vinyl Planks
Here is the step-by-step that makes it easy for you to do the flooring yourself. Follow the guide below and have a less complicated experience.
- Find the low and high spots on wood subfloors and sand down the high spots using a belt sander equipped with a coarse-grit belt.
- Through floor patching fill in the low spots and feather them out with a towel.
- Trim jambs and packaging so you can slide the flooring under.
- Leave an expansion gap along the walls by inserting shims to make a 1/4-inch to 3/8-inch hole between the floor and the walls.
