My client built a new home in Howe, TX.  Her builder allowed her to install the permanent flooring after closing. The builder put carpet in the bedrooms and stained the concrete in the family room to pass inspections.  The new homeowner contacted me to install tile throughout the home and wanted a wood-look tile.  She found, through my supplier, the perfect rustic look that would fit her home.  She also chose decorative tile for the bathroom.   I have run across several new home buyers that choose to do their flooring to reduce the expense and markup of the builder.  Sometimes the choices are limited with a builder, and you can expand the offering by hiring a contractor to complete the job.
